During Tom's leadership tenure, Barton Malow expanded into the alternative energy market, including this design-build wind turbine project near Cadillac, Michigan. After pouring the concrete base, the company used mobile cranes to erect the 100-meter towers, to set the 218,000 pound nacelles that contain the turbines, and to assemble and connect the 160,000 pound hub and blade assemblies.
